Summary

An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) responds to Emergency calls ensuring that patients are cared for and when required transported to the best possible place for further care. EMTs are non-independent clinicians meaning they can treat patients to a higher level than ECAs however will still normally be paired with a Paramedic.
